I am a wife, mama to 3 kiddos, a book and podcast lover, and a Hallmark Movie addict. I have also spend the last 15 years working as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Over time I found that the Applied Behavior Analysis training I was providing to my clients parents, those whose children had a developmental delay diagnosis, was important and life changing for all parents. Knowing the basics of Applied Behavior Analysis can change any parents world by teaching them how to manage and change behaviors based on the child and their specific behavior. Often parenting techniques are taught as broad concepts you have to hope apply to your child. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t because those strategies are not specific to the individual. Being a Data Driven parent is all about parenting each individual and dealing with each specific behavior based on that behaviors function for the individual themselves.
